When I first started driving a few years back, it was normal for me to eat a burger, drink a pop and talk on my cell simultaneously but now, you can’t even talk on your cell and drive at the same time.

I’ve seen some highway drivers shaving, and others applying their make-up, but all of that has come to an end, thanks to the new provincial law that forbids drivers from any distraction that could lead to an accident.

My question is: does drinking a coffee or smoking a cigarette count as a distraction? How about those who cannot wait to park to pick their nose? Would that be considered just cause for a $150 fine?

Blue-tooth headsets have sold like crazy because people still need to communicate while traveling, but now they do it with both hands on the wheel.

Meanwhile, guys on a date can’t snuggle with their sweetheart while driving because it could cost you more than you had planned and that would put a damper on the occasion.

Imagine this scenario: you’re driving down the road and the driver in front of you cuts you off, so your natural reaction is to speed up to give him or her the finger and, as you drive by their car with your finger sticking out of the window, a cop sees you with only one hand on the wheel and you get a $150 fine for driving with one hand. This could happen if you’re not careful.

I guess the only other alternative is to stick out your tongue at all those bad drivers.
